By using AVAZA for your Over-the-Phone Interpreting needs, you will experience:
Due to it’s flexibility, it is not at all surprising that Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) remains the most popular method of delivery in the language services industry. We believe that services should be quick, managed, and not cost-prohibitive to allow for best practices and not missed opportunities.
When you call AVAZA, a live agent will answer the call, there are no numerous codes to key in. Our agents will assist you targeting the needed language, gathering and verifying your information, and connecting you to an interpreter all in a matter of seconds. Our expertise is in the evaluation of the language requirements of our clients to guarantee comprehensive language support.
AVAZA interpreters are trained and certified in various programs designed to exceed nationwide practices and standards of interpreting. From confidentiality to compliance and ethics to accuracy, interpreter training is continuous, effective, and integrated with call center practices and customer care metrics.
Labor, operational, technological, and telecommunication expenses are key components that contribute to the unit cost of OPI. While our competitors maintain a significantly higher unit cost without a variance in service level, we offer innovative solutions to traditional cost factors, enabling us to lower expenses and transfer those savings to you without sacrificing quality.

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is revolutionizing how language services are delivered. Now you can easily have an interpreter at your location, on demand, confidentially and securely, regardless of where you are in te world. Our VRI service allows you to use non-proprietary equipment to see and hear our interpreters clearly. It is an effective alternative to the OPI or On-Site modalities.
We are dedicated to providing you with prompt and efficient services so we pride ourselves on the ease of using our VRI system. We give you multiple ways to connect and offer a ever-growing list of languages and dialects.

On-Site or Face-to-Face interpreting is the most effective mode of language service as it allows better communication between you and your Limited-in-English Proficient patient/claimant. The levels of comfort, clarity, and conversion of messages are all enhanced due to the interpreter’s presence. At AVAZA, we believe that careful coordination and delivery of trained interpreters are integral in eliminating missed opportunities.
The belief is that 85% of interpreted sessions require the physical presence of an interpreter. Although that is mostly ideal, staffing, time, liability, and costs are all challenges that limit this goal. For those agencies that do wish to provide On-Site interpreters we offer solutions to those challenges. AVAZA On-Site services are available in several states including Tennessee, California, Oregon, Virginia, and Florida. If you need On-Site interpreters and you are outside of our service areas, please contact us and we will work to provide solutions for you.
Our belief is that the most successful interpreted sites leave the provider confident in the relay of information and allow the patient to have meaningful access to quality healthcare. Simply put, we allow communication to exist in a manner that once we leave, both the patient and provider feel as though there was no interpreter at all.
interpreters are trained in industry standards of medical/legal interpreting with awareness in providing Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services. Interpreters undergo:

Although it is cost effective and does serve as a great investment for your organization, document translation is by far the most challenging of all foreign language services. Our goal is to understand your needs through the document and transfer the intent accurately without altering the message.
At AVAZA we understand the challenges in document translation. Regardless of the size, every project is subject to the same end-to-end standard. Estimates are provided before any work is started. Each translation request is a project that starts with an assigned coordinator and translator. Once work begins, two stages of proofing follow to ensure accuracy as well as use of terms. The final draft will be returned to the translation manager to be processed, formatted, and converted into relevant digital files to be sent to you.
AVAZA translators follow nationwide standards in translation from the leading training organizations and programs. Although the ATA is the nation’s leading source and our preferred choice for training, we continually adopt standards and processes throughout the nation that guarantee best practices.
Documents we commonly translate include:

Very coveted in the language services industry is how to measure proficiency in language and interpreting skill. Using effective testing methodologies can gauge the qualifications of your interpreter base and elevate your language services model towards a more Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Service. Our Interpreter Assessment Program (IAP) consists of evaluation tools that were created following standards within the language services industry. Candidates are measured on linguistic fluency, medical terms and practices, and interpreting skills and ethics. The goal is to allow you to determine, through a comprehensive and user-friendly interface, your bilingual or multilingual staff’s ability to serve as an interpreter both linguistically and competently.
The IAP is not pass/fail, rather, it is an appraisal of the candidate’s abilities and knowledge. Our testing batteries follow the standards set forth by the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and recommendations of the National Council on Interpretation in Health Care (NCIHC). At AVAZA, candidates must post acceptable scores to continue on to training.
At AVAZA, we're pioneering the bridge between technology and language. Collaborating with leading tech providers, our mission is to harness the power of Automated Understanding. This cutting-edge approach equips critical intelligence agencies and industry leaders with the tools needed for seamless language interpretation, ensuring no nuance is lost in translation.
We understand the importance of cultural nuances in global interactions. That's why AVAZA is at the forefront of providing Cultural Role Player Support to U.S. federal agencies and military branches. Our programs offer immersive experiences that enrich training scenarios with authentic cultural interactions. By stepping into realistic simulations, participants gain invaluable insights into diverse cultures, enhancing their ability to engage with respect and understanding in any global context.
